Vlada KRASSILNIKOVA was born in Oufa, in the Urals.Then she lived in Achkhabad, capital of Turkmenistan, which used to be one of the republics of the Soviet Union.

The girl grows up in the family of sportsmen: her father is a fencing trainer, and her mother is a gymnast. Vlada will follow the way of gymnastics. Young trainer in the sport school in Achkhabad, she will make first steps in the photography using her students as models.

In 1988 she goes to Moscow where she becomes a cabaret dancer. Her talent attracts the attention of Alain Bernardin, founder of the Crazy Horse. He invites Vlada to Paris in 1993, but he can’t keep her because of her tall height. She is immediately engaged at Moulin Rouge, where she becomes a soloist dancer one year later.

At the same time Vlada paces podiums up and down as a model. This beautiful girl could have contented herself with “la dolce vita”, but she is not like that. She needs to express her gift of a photographer. Bernard Minier will inculcate some rudimentary knowledge of the photography in Vlada, and the talent of his prodigy student will blossom.

Miss Vlada Krassilnikova starts her career with the series about Moulin Rouge, where she reveals the backstage secrets of the most famous cabaret ever. This a complete success. The pictures are exposed in London, New York, Moscow and also in Arles where she is invited as a guest of honour for Festival Européen de Photos de Nu in 2003.

Never losing her time, Vlada publishes her first book “Moulin Rouge – Instants Volés” ( “Moulin Rouge – Stolen instants”) and works with the prestigious magazines.
